Team Building
Reaching an entire language group with the Gospel message and planting a maturing church among them, especially in a remote location, requires a large team of people persevering over time. The missionary is often the point of focus but is in reality only the representative of a large body of people who want to see certain work accomplished.
Building Relationships
Someone led the missionary to faith in Christ. Someone led the missionary through discipleship to be a follower of Christ. Someone taught the missionary the things that were needed to teach other people from the Bible. Someone challenged the missionary to serve in the missionary occupation. Someone trained the missionary in the work of serving others based on Biblical principles. Some people prayed for the missionary. Many people sent gifts to enable the missionary to serve overseas. Many people continued to support the missionary until the work the missionary was sent to do was completed. Many other people supported the many other missionaries who made it possible for the missionary to accomplish the work.
Team Design
Tribal church planting work is about teamwork. It’s about being involved in the lives of other people and inviting them into our lives. It’s about intentionally investing who we are and what we have for a purpose. This is God’s design and may be part of an answer to Jesus’ High Priestly prayer in John 17:21 – “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.”
Mobilizing the Team
A major part is expanding the team and advancing our reach as His body, the Church, into areas where people have not yet been reached with the Gospel. This is a direct response by faith to a direct command which was given to us on the highest authority in heaven and on earth. (Matthew 28:18-20)
We are to go to all ethnic groups in all of the world to preach the Good News, baptize them in the name of the Father, in the name of the Son and of the Holy Spirit and teach them all that Christ commanded.
Christ’s mission for us includes every ethnic group in all of the world, to the ends of the earth.
– Matthew 28:18-20, Acts 1:8
Multiplying Team Builders
The team of people working with Ethnos360 sees our biblical objective as going beyond evangelism.
We are to plant churches among unreached people groups that are composed of people who are maturing in their faith, growing in their ability to relate well to one another, discipling other people, equipped to stand on God’s written word, applying Biblical truth to daily living and striving to preach, declaring God’s glory in the regions beyond.
